Kiersten has been writing professionally in one capacity or another for more than 20 years, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Composition and Rhetoric from The University of Akron. 

As an experienced speaker, she has presented for The National Resume Writers' Association (NRWA) and the College English Association of Ohio (CEAO). 

Additionally, she provides training in business writing to corporate businesses as well as resume workshops to nonprofit organizations.

She taught college writing and business writing courses at Kent State University at Stark for five years.

Aside from resume writing, her experience extends into writing web copy, press releases, and other business writing documents for business clients.

Dedicated to upholding high standards of excellence in professional writing, Second Glance Resumes partners with Forbes-recognized executive search firm, Action Management Services, to further assist candidates.

Kiersten leads a true writer's life. When she is not writing for work, she is working on one of several other writing projects, including her first novel.

She attributes her success to three things: ambition, supportive family, and great coffee.

Heather joined Second Glance in 2014 where she reviews resumes at local job fairs. She continues to develop professionally and remain relevant in resume writing trends by attending annual conferences with The National Resume Writers' Association (NRWA).  

She earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) from The University of Akron and enjoys the opportunity to put her English degree to use in assisting job seekers nationally.

Heather always finds the silver lining in all situations, and one day hopes to move to California to pursue either literary or production dreams.
